(This is a continuation from my last post here in the Portal. Just check it out in the section where it belongs. Thank you!)
Inspirations are some of the things or reasons why we go on in life. It may be matter or abstract as long as it drives you to be stronger for life.
And for me, these are the people who play in the game of basketball and with every shot from them is a hope for me to see the future.
JayJay Helterbrand of BGSM Gin Kings
I remembered hating Kuya Jayjay before each time Tropang Texters was their opponent. He's so good in long outside shots and has great assists in his team until I got into his team, the Gin Kings and he has been the APPLE of my EYE. <3
I got interested with Kuya Jayjay because 1.) He's chinito. 2.) His mohawk. 3.) His play. As a fan should do, I researched about Kuya to know him more and about his career and that's the time I discovered, he's a well God-loving man that even made me love and idolize him more.
However, that time, I was still very negative and almost forget God already. I even felt bad because I was that negative and then I like Kuya Jayjay who's been a very good man. But I just like Kuya Jayjay so much and I just can't ignore it. So that made me have a metanoia and I'm very very happy of it. I'm so happy that I found another hope again and believed again in myself. And I thank you Kuya Jayjay for it, for being the instrument of God for me to be hopeful and positive again. I can't imagine myself if I'm still negative right now and dealing with the feeling of being down always. Thank you Lord! :)
That's the time PBA changed me. This is why I love this game. I've realized it's not just a physical game competing for a name and honor but it's all about the story of every player, how they moved on and fight again in every failure and loss.
It's just something behind those dribbles and lay-ups. And that's what Kuya Jay made me realize. Every game he play just gives me joy, seeing him in the court playing and helping his team. I've searched this happiness for a very long time now and I just unexpectedly found it in the game I grew up to love, which is basketball and to the Almighty God. Thank you Lord! :)
Larry Fonacier of TNT Tropang Texters
"LARRY FOR THREE.... BANGGGGG!!", this is mostly what I hear from Kuya Larry. Firing those long outside shots makes me scream out of joy and inspire me more in life. He will always be the BABY-FACED ASSASSIN. <3
Kuya Larry is just simply good at playing. Knowing that he got UAAP before PBA and that only proves that he's a good and a well-known player. He always help his team in any way he can and do his best to fulfill it. He's known for his raging long outside shots that makes me scream out of joy whenever it buries into the basket. He's now even a GILAS PILIPINAS team member which makes me even prouder of him.
No matter what happen, I will always remember and idolize Kuya Larry. He's just so good that I can't put it into words. Many people even question or even say to me that why Kuya Larry or he just lost his play, however I don't believe them and never will because I believe in Kuya Larry's skills and play and I knew he can do it. He gotten already too far in his career and that only means he's good and blessed. :)
PJ Simon of San Mig Coffee Mixers
I grew up watching watching PBA games, even with my family. I remembered we were supporting and cheering for Purefoods TJ Giants before, where PJ belong.
It's just so overwhelming where he is now and I'm very proud of him.
It's always James Yap, Marc Pingris, and Pj Simon even before. Pj was already marked in my mind being excellent in playing basketball or even being handsome. ;)
Pj is undeniably good in playing. He's always been a great part of his team. He's also very humble and handsome. Pj gone already too far in his career but stays on the ground and even improved himself. Who wouldn't love Peter June of San Mig Mixers? :)
The way he plays will definitely make you shout for joy and be inspired with every one-hander he delivers. He's just so good that he excels mostly in the game. In every game, he's always the one I wait to show up and I'm already happy whenever I see him play.
What even makes it better because we're both from Mindanao and our hometowns are just near. Hopefully, I will see him in personal already and watch him live in arenas.
These three players are some of my inspirations especially this time. I just love them so much that I automatically be happy whenever I see them. They make me strive hard more and give me so much hope in life. Hopefully I will see them in person already and watch them live in arenas. In God's perfect time. :)
